I'm done with Twitter

It's not that I couldn't handle the format. It's simply that Twitter is an extremely shallow medium. It's not that I'm old-fashioned.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.
Those who can't teach join Teach for America.

I'm too lazy to source that famous joke that I co-opted for mailed-in ends.

The point is that those who can write, blog. Those who can't put together more than one idea at a time go to Twitter. I'm going to save what's here so far and go finish up a movie. There's no social movement. That is an illusion. One can watch some movies and the same fake social order will still be there after the final credits.

Okay, I am back but haven't much more to add. I am burned out from writing. I had to go after TFA on Twitter.  It was my fate as a `whistle blower'.

I have to also say never say never. However, I am too lazy to edit the title. Sorry for any confusion. I might be back at Twitter. I might blog here. I just don't know and couldn't care less. Which is good.

My movie channel schtick has never been better. I can live with being a nobody. I tried.

n.b. TFA is a cult and as evil as anything in our society. But I am too tired to blog about it. I am too tired of doing the world's homework.

Thanks for another great post!
Well, I admit to not having heard of teach America before but looking at the link, it smacks of money, money, money to me. How do people get away with these things I wonder?
The education system is very different in UK but there is very much a divide. There are the free schools and the private schools. Teachers leave in their droves here, and I know that first hand, having helped out in junior schools. Here, a lot of interference from government, who have never taught in their lives, a mess!
I do remember trying to be ripped off by a private company here, cannot remember name, but trying to sell parents expensive education packages through post, to enhance maths skills.
Re: twitter. I have thought about quitting several times and especially when I was accused of being a paid fake (that really got to me).
I often question if I am making a difference on there, which was my aim or just wasting my time?
Anyway, the point I guess is to acknowledge you as a great writer. I do believe you are saying important stuff, and that is a contribution to society. So even if you are tired of it now, you can never be called a nobody.
p.s. thanks for supporting me with posts on here. I am still new to it and am enjoying!
Take it easy out there. Here`s to happiness and good people of this world.

That was one of my worst entries ever, but thanks anyway.

Someone called you a paid fake? Do you have the link/their username. That's very odd.

You have to consider the source. I'd need a link/their username to give an opinion.

I'm always calling people paid fakes.

I had an interaction with Dick Costello once. Someone was hoaxing him and I explained it to him. Maybe that will save me from being banned. And what'shername the sweet tea girl from NBC Chris Hansen, I stuck up for her when Ron Brynaert was dogging her big time.

I don't think petitions are the way to go. Better to get referendums. Better to get motions voted on by citizens.

And make it so money doesn't decide elections.

The problems are very deep.

All education is very similar across all the continents, the sociology of it I mean. Pretty much the core of them all are equal.

The change in America is this push for privatising public education. It's just like that logo made by the person who offered it to that blog which I linked to, it is teach for corporate america.

I honestly don't know if any of this blogging matters.

Tokyo Shemp said...

And teaching to tests, it's ridiculous. It's corporate with no room for old school idealism and true self-growth.

It is always a pleasure to read your posts, but hate reading my own stuff. I guess it is confidence with me still in writing, but I really do like the idea of getting important messages across.

It seems to be so much more than what a person can do on twitterland.

yes, that was a year ago on twitter. I am not sure if they are there still but I blocked them and their other 2 accounts. I think the hash tag I was put under was "aida", something like that. I think the person has some creepy blog with twitter user names who are classed as fakes. I may be on there, but stopped looking in the end. They were questioning my previous occupation, wanted my address, date of birth you name it.

You have helped many people on twitter, I remember how things were when we first connected on there.

I guess one good thing is that block button now, sad that it has to be used often.

It is difficult with the petitions, I do know it works with some social issues. It would not work for this Teach America. But seeing how bad they are, something ought to be done. I hate to see greedy corporations getting their fingers in the pie, so to speak.

I do like to get involved with stuff, especially if I see injustice out there. We cannot do everything, but I do feel it is worth a try. Privatising education for one thing does not sound good to me.

Wow. With that little bit of info, I found a lot of stuff. I think you were targeted by GCHQ for being a peacenik. This is right up my conspiracy theory alley. Maybe I will make a short blog entry on what I saw and why I would say such a thing.

The people trolling you are very kooky and in regards to the "new age" milieu. I must be honest and say I haven't read your Twitter page that closely. I remember you telling me about the trolling, but this is the first time you gave me a lead.

It is similar to what I went through, but there's really not much they can do other than putting you on a list on a url no one reads.... because it is literally insane.

I think that is govt. spies who play disinfo games on the internet. In the Snowden documents was evidence of cyber magicians and online covert agents who are focused on "conspiracy stories" and manipulating those.

Tokyo Shemp said...

Why you? Well, I did notice that you end a lot of tweets with the word namaste. That probably made you a target for state-sponsored harassment. This is my theory. I have no smoking gun per se other than how stupid and convoluted it is.

Tokyo Shemp said...

I can't blog on that.

I wonder who this guy really is. Is he a disinfo agent? He's so weird. The person trolling you seemed to promote him a lot. ARCTURUS RA - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zz2cM2Xxoto

Tokyo Shemp said...

He lists his name as Rene Swain, but I don't see anything verified as to who the f he really is. Three other people harassed the same way as you were are @TheLarkGirl, @LeslieALuciano, and @cornflake777. They look like hippies etc. and all three accounts are on private.

Tokyo Shemp said...

I went with a proxy. The website you probably saw and then forgot about is mother-earth-healing dot com. What a twisted pile of shite. I'm sorry you experienced that.

You did great! I lost so much of the tweets I was sent at the time.

Well GCHQ, that would not surprise me. I wonder if it is some of the stuff I post on there, petitions etc? I have tweeted to the government too, but nothing ever unpleasant. Do they deem me as a threat to national security? It is just so odd.
Oh Namaste, yes, have been using that for ages now, maybe will drop that one!

I just don`t know anymore, I made the mistake of following that person with 3 accounts. I did nothing wrong, but they seem vengeful.

I was tagged along with other people at the time. I follow one of them, they do petition stuff like me. Yes, the website is correct, I only visited once. Had a creepy tracking device. It really upset me at the time.

Ok, that is interesting, did not notice about that guy. Will take a look. This is the problem with the net at times. So sad that those people have nothing better to do than target good people.

Thanks!

There was an infiltration of a Wikileaks forum. Daily Kos was infiltrated by political operatives. I used to be very interested in chemtrails and I confirmed that a NASA higher up used to play troll games on the completely warped Chemtrail Central.

It is hard to tell apart the deranged from who's paid to act deranged.

It's in the cyber magician document. It's why I have been using the phrase conspiracy stories. The Spy Factory was using it. It's a smoking gun document, but no one wants to think about it. They will compartmentalize it as a natural reaction to 9/11. They will not realise it is not just Muslims being targeted, though I admit that would be enough for a major crisis.

If those are disinfo agents/informants, they just probably noticed your sincerity and leftiness, along with a good chunk of followers and interactions.

Twitter has its pros and cons. This show Who Wants to be a Millionaire used to get huge ratings. They even put it on primetime evenings. People eventually got sick of it.

I used to go to Facebook to play song pop. I got sick of that and couldn't care less about FB. Twitter, even here, I can take it or leave it.

Twitter is somehow even worse than those convoluted websites, imho. It does have its pros, to repeat. It's fun to keep tweeting away and not give an F. But even that is getting stale. It's not exactly easy to retrieve stuff on Twitter. There's simply not enough room and it feels like the good stuff ends up lost in the maelstrom of tens of thousands of tweets.

I did watch that video, very odd in my opinion, it is not my cup of tea. For me, I am not always very good at discerning disinfo agents.

I am just not sure why it happened on twitter to me. I blocked them all in the end.

What I do not like to see is good people who speak the truth getting attacked like you were. And being lied about is the worst thing too.

I find all this infiltration stuff creepy, yet it goes on sadly. I heard that UK will be given more powers to spy on e-mails etc. Innocent people getting targeted?

I am trying to remember life before the internet. I have cut down my time on it. But yes, after a while some of it can get tiresome. I guess it is all a balance. I see people on twitter all day long.

I do have a face book account, think I joined to connect with people I knew in life. What I did not like was when on it, a pop up would come with face book asking me questions!

Twitter, I am undecided about still. I do like some of what I do on there. I expect one day I will leave, but not yet.

Yes, you are right, it is a pain to try and go through older tweets. I was trying to do that the other day and just gave up!

It's chasing shadows. They are either paid kookery resembling militaristic alternative reality games or they are random nutjobs.

Your British govt. pedophile story is currently in the most read list for the last 30 days.

Anonymous said...

Yes you are right.

That is good to know, really appreciate your help with the post. I have heard little in news about the story recently.

I would like to see those like Janner prosecuted though.

Tokyo Shemp said...

If Janner has dementia, it's kind of late to be punishing him. I am not dismissing this story. It seems Thatcher and others pulled a Catholic Church styled cover up. Or how American cops were doing it before getting busted on film.

At question is how big is this British scandal. It seems the story has run its cycle. I don't know a lot about it, but I am not interested in tabloids like The Express or some of the others posting unverified chatter. Personally I demand impeccable sources. It is not easy.

Anonymous said...

The argument about Janner and his dementia, is that he is still voting in parliament.

It is difficult to know if the hype of the story is over or if there will be more revelations.

yes, I agree, I am not keen on tabloids either, but it kind of served a purpose for this post.

I am beginning to learn what are trustworthy links and which are not. I know for sure, I can trust your links.

We are all gullible to some extent. There was a lot of crazy stuff which made it into mainstream forums. There were people promoting satanic panic and election fraud hoaxes at Democratic Underground. Even Daily Kos has a crazy history. I'm just more experienced with conspiracy stories than yourself. I was a late bloomer getting into the internet, but from 2006 on, I started paying very close attention.

Anonymous said...

Yes, I think especially me, but I am learning, so it is all good for me.

I cannot stop learning and researching things! It keeps my mind active!

Oh, yes, read that stuff on satanic panic, you did one on the blog a while back, which I viewed.

Yes, you are really good with the conspiracy stories. I was much later to the net.

Think 2011 when I joined first network! Oh, the days when internet connection was so annoyingly slow for me! So much better these days!

Tokyo Shemp said...

The satanic panic became a big part of this blog around 2009 after I initially became tired of the Kimberlin mess. Bob from Canada posted here for a while. He's got one entry that is extremely popular and always on the front page.

That also spread to England, Canada, and I believe a little deeper even into Europe. The Amanda Knox case in Italy was based on the satanic panic.

Oh yes, internet speed is very important and adding ad blocker, or one might as well get dial-up and only use the net for emails and text only pages.

I find it very interesting that in the Five Eyes document obtained by Snowden that they are fixated on conspiracy stories. To me it is a smoking gun despite only being in power point presentation mode.

We are all lifelong learners.
