Apparently Jake Patterson had no computer and was completely off the computer grid. He knew computers existed but in regards to schticks and milieus, we basically did not exist to him.
His mom is saying there were no mental issues growing up.
He was shy and into books.
His folks got divorced when he was around ten.
He is obviously painfully shy but seems to have been sheltered from cointelpro's militarised alternate reality game centered around "incels."
It doesn't add up that he was considered smart and nice but couldn't keep a job. There seems to be a tremendous amount of missing information. If he had no mental issues, then why wasn't he earning some income? And wtf was he thinking to kill parents and kidnap a young girl? Of course he is completely deranged as in mentally ill. He must have been adept at hiding it.
The story will probably wrap up soon and be closed for good. Susan Polk was on t.v. every night back in the day. Her story was everywhere. Then sixteen years later when she was up for parole, there wasn't one article on her. I just checked her Wikipedia page. It says at the end, "[Polk] will be eligible for parole in 2018." That's odd. It seems to already be 2019. The point is the medium is relevant today, forgotten tomorrow. Soon no one will be mentioning Patterson or perhaps only a little bit if Jayme decides to become a public figure akin to Elizabeth Smart. One hears about Smart and then the perpetrators are mentioned but not too much.
I doubt we'll ever understand why Patterson freaked out.
At least with the Youtube lady, we know what happened. She had her videos and an internet presence. There was Elliot Rodger. This Patterson crime case is unique. He was probably evolving into a form of Unabomber or serial killer. His wanting to steal a wife slave might have prevented a much more disturbing outcome, although this one was still awful. Those poor dead parents. That poor girl.
This Patterson trash is still alive as a sentient being. His family seems decent enough. Society needs to fix itself. This will probably be one of those stories where there is never any understanding or closure. It didn't happen in regards to Susan Polk. I think I was one of the only people to cover her story accurately. And I was a nobody, so that's the social reality. I've been a very small pocket of awareness. We have the right to self-publish in free speech corners few ever see. 97% of the internet is a miserable vacuum. The electronic versus real life struggle continues.
This blog is dedicated to the memory of David Weintraub, who took on insidious astroturfers and won.
