You must have been high if you thought Bernie was dropping out of the race.

I had a mild heart attack just over one year ago. Mine was worse than Bernie's. I don't know the specifics of his situation. I was down to one good artery and 5% of another. Bernie seems to have had only one clogged artery of the three. He had two stents put in? I had three. He'll be on a blood thinner called plavix for one year, maybe less. That is the inexact science part of the meds. Six months might be enough. It prevents clotting with stents. He'll easily bruise while on it. He'll probably be taking a baby aspirin each day. He won't be able to take any advil. It will be tylenol or maybe he can access some of the stronger drugs called narcotics if he has tooth issues or any significant pain somewhere.

He looks healthy. He will probably need a nap during the day if he has to take a third pill called a beta blocker. I'm curious if he will have that also. I wonder if he has any scar tissue. He might not have had a heart attack or what I mean is, this is semantics. I know I had just about the best case scenario for heart trouble and Bernie had a much more easier medical emergency than mine. Although I'm also curious how the stents were put in. Mine went through the arm. When one is older, it is tougher to find the vein which can handle it. For most, they travel up from the leg groin area. Those are obviously going to be more painful and not as easy for the surgeon. It's also called a procedure, not surgery. I also recall that if one is going to have a heart attack, it is easier to recover when older. In conclusion, Bernie ain't going anywhere if he wants to continue. Danny Ainge has had two heart attacks and is still plugging away as Celtics' GM.
